You can use a mounting adapter screw to attach the camera to your spindle. It has an 8mm thread for your spindle on one side and a 1/4” camera thread on the other.

You can choose the best position for your setup. If you attach at the baseplate your z-axis (green squares) your camera will not move vertically along with the spindle. Alternatively you can attach directly to the spindle (black squares). If dust collection gets in the way of the camera, make a small extension bracket as shown by drilling three holes in a piece of square tube. Use 8mm bolts to attach the bracket to your router, and a 1/4”-20 screw to mount the camera to the bracket.
